Day 4 South Africa - Stellenbosch (+2 GMT)

sunny 32 °C

Checked out of Verona Lodge and head NE about 50Km from the city for a day of wine tasting.
The driving in SA is about the same as the UK, same side of the road, same traffic jams.

Have booked into Oakleaf Lodge at the Delvera Farm, the folks are friendly here and it seems that the past few days have been unseasonably cool, it feels hot today and due to be about 36 deg C tomorrow.

Today we spent the day walking around the wine farm, and having the pool to ourselves. Did some 'tasting' on the porch overlooking the vineyards, more tasting in the evening with a cheese platter and the sound of many crickets.

They're not the same without Buddy Holly!

Blue skies and sunshine here. Media obsessed by first GB gold at winter olympics for 30 years. Amy Williams, who trains at Bath, flung herself head first down an ice track a breakneck speed consistently faster than all the other nutters!

It's a hard choice, skiing in Whistler like last year or boiling myself in the sun waiting for the game drive to start?
